Company History for S Bar S Building Center
S Bar S began as a farm and ranch supplier specializing in posts, poles, rough lumber and pre-built livestock feeders. In 1971 the company was purchased by the family of the current owners and began years of steady growth and change.

S Bar S Supply Co. was established in 1971. Steady growth and change have occurred since its inception. From beginnings of pre-built storage sheds and rough lumber to the current services, S Bar S has grown to meet Montana and Northern Wyoming needs.

S Bar S Building Center, has expanded four times since 1986. Increased retail space, development of an in-house truss plant & related engineering, additional personnel and invested in state-of-the-art construction equipment, have given S Bar S the ability to meet it's customer's needs.

1978 Incorporation and larger scale construction projects
1982 Current Management era begins
1988 Completion of 1st major expansion
1988 Completion of retail expansion and shop expansion
1993 Purchase and installation of truss plant and shop expansion
1999 Completion of 4th expansion of retail, offices and shop area
2000 Completion of yard expansion and building display area
2003 Increase staff and mangement for increasing sales & work load
2006 Begin expansion of 22,500sq' Building Center
2007 Completion of Building Center, addition to Rental Center, doubled the size of production facility and upgraded equipment, paved parking
